Taking no longer than a coffee break, this is the second of our monthly SEND-themed webinar "SEND Searchlights”. We answered your burning SEND assessment questions and shared knowledge and experience with colleagues from across the world!
This informal forum was facilitated by GL Assessment’s Emma Dibden and Polly Marsh, who bring their experience as former SENCos to bear as they answer questions posed by you, the educators working on the ground, and provide guidance on how to use assessment data to effectively identify and support your students who may be experiencing barriers to learning.
You can also catch up on the first webinar in this series here.
A little bit more about the facilitators:
Emma Dibden
Before joining GL Education, Emma taught for over 20 years in primary schools across the UK and overseas as a class teacher, SENDCo and inclusion lead. Her prior strategic roles in SEND, and experience of using GL assessments in context, helps to inform her practice as the Assessment Specialist for SEND and Wellbeing.
Polly Marsh
Polly has over 10 years of teaching experience, having worked in both state and independent primary schools. After qualifying as a teacher, she then completed the National Award for SENCo. In 2019 she became a Specialist Leader in Education for SEND and progressed to Inclusion Lead, followed by Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, where she completed her NPQSL.
