GL Assessment host and attend a series of events, conferences and exhibitions during the year across the UK.
Our events highlights of the year include two National Assessment Conferences, one based in London and one in Manchester. Our aim is to cover policy updates plus practical hands on assessment advice in dedicated Primary, Secondary and Multi-Academy Trust streams. Speakers to date have included Sir David Carter (National Schools Commissioner) and the Rt. Hon David Laws (Executive Chairman of the Education Policy Institute), plus a number of practitioner experts from our Centres of Assessment Excellence.
In addition to conferences, we also attend a number of national and regional exhibitions through the year, see our full programme of events below:
Our award winning SEN Assessment Toolkit has been developed to ensure schools have the basic SEN assessment tools they may need. Come and see us at the GL Assessment stand at the 5th Annual SENCO Conference - A Journey Through SEND to learn more.
This timely seminar will consider the next steps for reform to primary assessment and the implications for accountability. Our Chief Executive, Greg Watson, will be speaking on the panel discussing ‘School readiness, proposals to introduce a reception baseline and improving the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile’.
At a time when 14.4% of pupils have special educational needs, 82% of headteachers don’t think they have sufficient resources to support their SEN pupils. With ever-increasing budget constraints, come along to the London SEN Conference and ask our panel of experts how they support pupils with barriers to learning.
