How to buy

Parents

Parents can buy the following products only:

• 11+ Practice Papers (available here)

Parents cannot buy our other assessment products. With the exception of 11+ Practice Papers, we advise against any practicing or training in order to get a fair assessment of the student’s abilities at that moment in time. There are practice questions in our assessments to get students familiar with the task they are being asked to do.

Nurseries, pre-schools and early years settings

The below assessments are eligible for purchase by early years practitioners. Certificates are not required, provided that establishments or individuals can provide evidence of being registered with Ofsted.

Schools and pupil referral units

Schools can purchase most of our assessments, such as CAT4, PT Series, NGRT, PASS and many of our SEND screeners. However, to purchase a select number of our assessments, schools must employ, or use the professional services of, one of the qualified health professionals below. Where more than one professional is highlighted for a single assessment in the table below, only one is required to purchase the assessment.

Specialist teachers must hold a qualification in keeping with those outlined below. With regards to ex-teachers, we do not sell to those not in a school.

• Exact is available for purchase by schools, qualified teachers, other educational institutions and some other professionals connected with education.When used as evidence to support part 2 of the JCQ Form 8 application, JCQ AARA specifies that the assessment must be carried out by a suitably qualified person. Qualifications

All customers must provide qualifications for orders to be dispatched. This is a one-off process and, in most cases, will be completed without us needing to contact you, but we may ask you to demonstrate your qualifications if you are new to GL Assessment. The information you provide enables us to identify which assessments you are eligible to purchase and administer, so please provide as much detail as possible. Copies of qualifications must be produced and failure to do so will delay the process of your application. For international customers, equivalent accredited international qualifications are accepted.

Hospitals, self-employed practitioners and other medical professionals

Some of our assessments are available to customers who are not affiliated with a school. Please refer to the guidance below which outlines the professional qualifications required to purchase and administer the assessments. Any assessment not listed below cannot be purchased by hospitals or other appropriately qualified specialist assessors or medical professionals.
