Recruitment Lead

About the role

As GL Education continues to grow, it’s recognised that attracting and recruiting top talent is more important than ever before. As business challenges go, this is a pretty good one to have and with 28 live vacancies, we need to step it up a notch. With overall responsibility for end to end recruitment, this role will be instrumental in ensuring we can attract key talent to help deliver our ambitious plans.

You’ll take ownership of the strategic and operational recruitment function from headcount planning and budget management, through to campaign creation, shortlisting and selection. You’ll support hiring managers in attracting top talent while actively improving the end to end recruitment process. You’ll review and enhance current recruitment policies, practices and processes to ensure diversity, equality and inclusion is front and centre and you’ll reduce time to hire and agency spend. Oh, introducing an applicant tracking system would be a good idea too.

About you

To succeed, you will bring with you experience of a similar internal recruitment role, ideally with some international recruitment under your belt, particularly in the UAE and Asia. You’ll have a passion for recruitment with a focus on candidate experience and be prepared to work with and upskill managers. We’ve made some great progress in moving to a direct sourcing model, however, there is further scope to reduce agency reliance and cost in some harder to fill areas, experience of this will be a big plus for us.

The Role:

Location: Our Brentford head office is the preferred location however, consideration will also be given to other GL offices in Durham and Swindon. We offer hybrid working at all of our sites.  

Hours: Full time, FTC (37.5 hours per week for 12 months) 

Salary: £40-45k per annum
